RYA VHF / SRC MARINE RADIO COURSE

This one day course provides all people venturing onto the water the skills and knowledge to operate a marine radio unit including Digital Selective Calling (DSC).

Distress, Urgency, Safety and Routine calling are all practiced on our state of the art DSC radio simulators. A brief exam at the end of the course ensures all radio operators can apply the skills learnt. Successful students can then apply to the RYA for their SRC Certificate.

For current course dates and availability see www.anchortraining.co.uk

COASTAL CONVERSION AND INSTRUCTORS COURSE

Are you interested in doing your Level 2 Coastal conversion course? or perhaps a Coastal Instructor Course, or even a Coastal Instructor Conversion Course. Email your interest to Jerry Blyth. Once we have enough interest we can then set dates and a venue. jeremy_d.blyth@virgin.net

POWERBOAT 'TUNE UP DAYS'

The regions Powerboat Trainers are inviting you to join them again on the coast through the 2007 season. For those who came last year this is another chance to experience some great trips with the added advantage of attaining valuable experience with the Regions Trainers. Use their boats and latest technology to add to the experience. Learn in a relaxed and no pressure environment. These days afloat are non certified and are just experience trips. You only pay the cost of the fuel and launching fees. (usually divided up among the crew). If you are interested please reserve a place as so many people were dissappointed last year because they left it to the last minute. We usually only have about 6 to 8 places.

THE 2008 DIARY FOR PLANNED TRIPS.

26th April - North Wales

10th May - North Wales

26th to 29th June - Thames Trip

9th August - North Wales

23rd August - North Wales

Other dates to be advised - please email stuart.scrimgeour@btinternet.com to register your interest.

NOTE: All passengers are to share fuel costs with the boat owner. Discuss terms before you go afloat. We usually ask the crew to cover the boat fuel and launching costs whilst the owner covers the cost of wear and tear and getting the boat to the venue and back. Yes- you will be allowed to have a drive. Please note any damage is payable to the owner.

For any of the above trips contact

stuart.scrimgeour@btinternet.com
